Does Wavesteam have experience with a similar industry or level of complexity?
Wavesteam can match relevant evidence to the project's principal difficulty, but we will not claim that two engagements are identical simply to support a sale. Industry is one filter. User roles, workflow states, data sensitivity, devices and third parties, performance, regulatory context, and production responsibility often provide stronger evidence of comparable complexity.
The client only needs to explain the industry, target users, core process, and largest known business risk. Wavesteam then selects the closest material from our public case studies and explains:
When applying case experience to a new project, also compare How can clients verify Wavesteam's project and long-term support experience?; the linked guidance adds context that should be considered in the same decision.
- which business journeys and technical constraints are genuinely comparable;
- which results can be demonstrated or supported with authorized, redacted material;
- which differences change scope, delivery risk, timing, or price; and
- which capability still needs proof with the client's sample data, interface, or device.
For example, experience integrating a different payment provider may support order-state and reconciliation methods but does not prove the target provider's approval or API behaviour. A hardware case can show how we test reconnection and telemetry, while the new protocol and device matrix still require their own proof. A case is evidence of relevant delivery practice, not a substitute for current platform rules or project acceptance.
If no case is sufficiently close, we say so. The responsible next step may be a bounded discovery, interactive prototype, interface proof, data trial, or device test with a written stop condition. Prior work can reduce uncertainty; it cannot remove the new project's obligation to establish its own requirements and acceptance evidence.
