Can you work with us remotely, and how would communication and delivery work?
Yes. The right arrangement depends on whether business evidence can be obtained remotely, devices and failures can be reproduced, and an incident requires physical attendance. Wavesteam may recommend fully remote delivery, planned visits at critical stages, or a local partner; if we cannot meet a mandatory qualification or attendance time, we should decline that scope.
Distance is neither a quality guarantee nor an automatic risk. A nearby team that reveals work only at final delivery can still lose control, while a remote team can collaborate effectively when requirements, decisions, versions, and acceptance evidence remain visible.
| Arrangement | Suitable work | Additional control | Poor fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fully remote | Websites, management systems, knowledge bases, standard apps and mini programs | Test accounts, redacted data, video research, online environment | Site conditions cannot be reproduced |
| Remote with milestone visits | ERP/MES, IoT, migration, complex operations | Planned discovery, installation, trial, and acceptance visits | Unlimited unplanned attendance |
| Resident or local partner | Multi-site rollout, sustained installation, intensive support | Roles, qualifications, coverage, common delivery standard | Budget and accountability are undefined |
| Decline or split | Local qualification or response cannot be met | Engage a local provider or separate the scope | Remote promises hiding hard constraints |
During sales discovery, provide location, operating hours, network and confidentiality restrictions, available devices, and target launch. The proposal should state the purpose, people, days, client preparation, travel cost, and output for each visit. If remote access is prohibited, include local log export, offline upgrades, and authorized maintenance before an incident exposes the restriction.
Remote delivery depends on inspectable results, not meeting volume. Each side names an empowered owner. Requirements, issues, and decisions live in one system; changes agreed in private chat are written back with owner, date, impact, and action. At each agreed cycle, supply an accessible version, version number, completed and incomplete items, known issues, and next step. The client walks real business cases rather than reviewing screenshots and percentage reports.
Define working hours, response windows, escalation, how delayed client input affects schedule, and whether emergencies include out-of-hours support. Across time zones, reserve overlap and name online release and rollback owners. Acceptance still covers core-task success, severe defects, performance and security, restore rehearsal, data reconciliation, accounts, and documentation. In remote work especially, prove that the client or a second operator can take over; emailing an archive is not handover.
Current capacity, regional coverage, and onsite service are governed by the quotation and contract. Our service process and transparent delivery standard describe our approach, while the project environment, version history, visit outputs, travel terms, and response boundaries provide the actual evidence.
